Why Do You Need Temp Mail?

Cover

Temporary email is useful when you need to receive a short-lived, non-critical message without sharing your main email address. Temp Mail provides a free, registration-free, receive-only mailbox that remains available for 10 minutes.

Keep Short-Lived Messages Separate

Using a separate address for a permitted registration or test can keep promotional follow-up away from your primary inbox. A temporary address is suitable only when you do not need long-term access.

  • Receive a one-time confirmation from a service that accepts temporary email.
  • Test an email-reception workflow without mixing test messages into a personal inbox.
  • Separate a low-risk shopping or community registration from your main address where the provider permits it.

Understand the Limits

Temporary email is not a security product or permanent mailbox. Do not use it for banking, identity documents, password recovery, confidential communications, or any account you need to keep.

  • The service only receives email; it cannot send or reply.
  • Delivery and availability are not guaranteed.
  • Links and attachments can still be harmful, so verify the sender before opening them.
  • Some websites do not accept temporary addresses; follow each provider’s rules.

Current Mailbox Lifecycle

Creating a mailbox returns a random access identifier. The address, incoming message metadata and body, and attachments are available for 10 minutes to anyone holding the complete access link. The QR code is generated in your browser and contains that link.

When the mailbox expires or you delete it, it becomes inaccessible and enters the scheduled deletion process with its messages and attachments. Keep the access link and QR code private while the mailbox is active.

Data and Anti-Abuse Services

TempMail.la uses Cloudflare Turnstile for anti-abuse checks and Google Analytics for aggregate site usage. The service also processes the technical logs needed for operation and security. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Use It Responsibly

Use temporary email only for lawful, non-sensitive, short-lived purposes. Do not use it to evade another service’s rules, create fraudulent accounts, send spam, phish, impersonate others, or infringe rights.
